Project Overview
When Doug was hired as president and CEO of Caron foundation in 1995, it had revenues of $12.5 Million and assets of a similar number. It was also losing approximately $1 million annually from operations. As a nonprofit, it was raising $500,000 a year in contributions. Clinically it was considered above average. A decade earlier, Caron was considered one of the premiere substance abuse treatment providers in the country, Doug's task was to Bring it back to its glory years.
Results
26 years later, when Doug retired, Caron's revenue was just under $100 million and it's net assets were over $155 million. Caron was raising over $20 million a year philanthropy. Caron head developed locations in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta and Florida. It's programs were considered clinically elite. Caron also developed the first medical research facility on the campus of a substance abuse treatment center in the country. Caron’s Board named that research center the Fran and Doug Timon Center for Research.
